H.E. Martin Kobler, Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Libya and Head of the UN Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), after taking over the duty from his predecessor Bernardino Leon on 23 November 2015, visited Turkey today (December 8th) within the framework of his consultations in a number of capitals. During the visit, Special Representative Kobler was received by H.E. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Minister of Foreign Affairs and H.E. Ambassador Feridun H. Sinirlioğlu, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During the talks, the latest developments regarding the political dialogue process in Libya were extensively discussed. On this occasion, Turkey’s support was expressed for the Special Representative Kobler, who is facilitating the process aimed at re-establishing peace and stability in Libya.
