We are concerned about the longstanding political crisis in the Republic of Macedonia, with which we have friendly relations since the day it was founded, and the independence, sovereignty and development of which we have supported.
The events that took place on April 27 are worrisome. Violence is never a solution. Our thoughts are with those who suffered injuries from these acts of violence and wish them speedy recovery.
We expect the Turkish community in Macedonia, who have abstained from participating in the demonstrations, to maintain the same attitude.
We wish that similar events will not be repeated in friendly Macedonia. We invite the representatives of political parties to reason and to find solutions to the current problems through dialogue.
